A Guest Professor

You may be welcomed as a Guest Professor by a teacher at UM1 (Montpellier 1 University). As a professor at a non-French institution, you may enjoy a paid, one-month stay in Montpellier 1 University upon the recommendation of the teacher issuing the invitation and the host faculty.

Your application is made to the relevant department or institute when the annual campaign is launched. A host agreement, necessary to obtain a visa (outside Europe), is issued by the International Relations department.

Foreign Scientists

Foreign scientist visits only concern researchers outside the European Union and European Economic Area. A host agreement must be completed by the professor sponsoring the researcher and submitted to the International Relations department so that a visa for the researcher can be obtained from the French Embassy. A “Guide for Guest Scientists and Professors” can be consulted on the Agropolis site. This tool is intended for foreign researchers and teachers visiting one of the member institutions of the International Agropolis and European Academic Pole, as doctoral students, postdoctorates, researchers and guest or visiting professors or those on sabbatical.
